Sigma Beauty Loose Shimmer are loose powder pigments that can be used on the eyes as an eye shadow, on the face as highlighters or on the lips mixed with some lip gloss. I have Gilded to share with you today which is a pale gold color.
It definitely mislead me once I opened it because I thought it would be a light gold shade and from the pot it appeared to be a lot darker than I had in mind. Anyway, when I finally swatched it, it appeared to be a beautiful light gold color, exactly like the one I had in mind.
Once applied wet it becomes almost foiled looking with an intense color pay off and when you apply it dry it looks more of an intense shimmery shade. When I used it wet I felt like in some areas the flakes of the shimmer stuck together. Maybe I would have avoid it by working in smaller sections instead of one swipe across the lid, so keep that in mind.
One last thing/tip I’d like to mention, not only for this loose shimmer but for loose eye pigments in general, is to always apply them before moving on with your foundation etc. because you will definitely have some fall out. Unless you put some extra powder underneath your eyes like if you were meant to “bake” and dust it off with a brush when you’re done.
